Become a Volunteer
Waste Not Want Not only has two paid employees which enables us to keep the price of goods within reach of those on low income. The remainder of the workforce are part time volunteers which normally total around 16 in any one week.
Volunteering for Waste Not Want Not can be a fun thing to do and brings with it many rewards. There is a gentle induction process which starts with an invite to visit the project to look round and have an informal chat.
With guidance from our experienced volunteers new members soon feel relaxed and confident and enjoy making a very positive contribution to the success of Waste Not Want Not and the community it serves.
Time spent as a charity volunteer is often seen as a big plus factor on CV’s for those who wish to gain work experience to seek paid employment. Assistance can be given with CV writing and interview preparation.
